If your master (boss or teacher) is a dolt, he/she IS holding the back. How high can you stretch with a moron boss?
You can be your own boss. You can choose a new boss. You could openly defy the dolt master. People tend to be p*ssies when superiors deride, run the business incompetently, or dehumanize the employees.

What is the ideal your idiot master tramples? Value it. Become and embody that ideal. Accept the consequences of your decision.
